Linda, Licensed Physical Therapist

EDUCATION:
  • B.S. Physical Therapy, University of Wisconsin Madison, 1992
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DATA: Linda was born and raised in Palatine and continues to live there with her family. She enjoys hiking in the National Parks (most recently Yellowstone and Glacier), practicing mindful meditation, and participating in water sports. She has nearly 30 years of physical therapy experience with special interests in ACL/rotator cuff tears, postural deficits, foot/ankle problems, balance disorders, and therapeutic yoga. She was on her high school pom pom squad, so enjoys working with dancers and cheerleaders. Her daughter is a cellist, so Linda also appreciates the unique difficulties performing artists can endure from hours of playing. The most rewarding part of her practice is being able to instruct clients on the healing power of movement.

Linda's continuing education is vast and recently includes vestibular/balance rehabilitation, knee and shoulder pathologies, joint replacement treatment, and work conditioning programming. She has obtained a Master Level 3 Balance Retrainer Certification from Physical, a Certificate in Concussion Management, and is in the process of becoming a certified yoga instructor. She has an Orthopedic Certificate of Excellence in Spine, Upper Quarter, and Lower Quarter.

GOAL: Linda’s professional satisfaction comes from having a positive impact on each patient's health and fitness journey as well as instructing them in injury prevention to ultimately get them back to enjoying an active life.
